The short version
You paste private conversations into this app. We take that seriously. We don't sell your data, we don't use your chats to train AI models, and we delete raw chat text automatically after 30 days. What we keep long-term is your results (verdicts, scores, flags) — not the conversations themselves.
1. What we collect
Account data: email address, and password (if you sign up with email — we never see or store your raw password, it's handled by our authentication provider).
Chat content: the messages you paste in — both your messages and the other person's messages — when you log a chat for analysis.
Analysis results: the verdict, effort score, and flags generated for each chat you log.
Payment data: handled entirely by our payment processor, Paddle. We see your subscription status and payment history, but we never see or store your card details — Paddle is the merchant of record for all purchases.
2. How we use it
- To generate your decode result (verdict, score, flags) for each chat you log
- To show you your trend history for a person over time
- To manage your account and subscription
- To improve the product (in aggregate, non-identifying ways — e.g. "how many decodes ran last week," not reading individual chats)
We do not:
- Sell your data to anyone
- Use your pasted chat content to train AI models
- Share your chat content with anyone beyond what's needed to generate your result (see section 3)
- Read your chats manually unless you explicitly contact us for support and share something with us directly
3. Who else touches your data

None of these providers use your data for anything beyond providing their service to us.
4. The other person in your chats
If you paste a conversation with someone else, that person's messages are processed the same way yours are — to generate your result. They haven't signed up for this app and didn't consent to being analyzed. We treat their messages with the same care as yours: not sold, not used for training, not retained beyond the window below. When you export a shareable result image, it never includes raw chat content — only your verdict and flags — specifically to protect that person's privacy.
5. How long we keep things
- Raw chat text (the actual messages you pasted): deleted automatically 30 days after you log the chat. This happens on an automated schedule, not manually.
- Your results (verdict, effort score, flags): kept for as long as your account is active, since this is what powers your trend line — the core thing the app does.
- Payment records: kept by Paddle per their own legal/financial record-keeping requirements, separate from whether you delete your app account.
6. Your controls
- Delete a person card: removes that person and all their associated chats and results.
- Delete your account: permanently removes your account, all person cards, all chat content, and all results. This is irreversible and available directly in Account Settings — you don't need to email us to do it.
- Access: you can see all your data (person cards, results, trend history) directly in the app at any time.
7. Security
- All traffic between your browser and our servers is encrypted (HTTPS).
- Your data is isolated at the database level — no user can access another user's data through the app, enforced by database-level access rules, not just app code.
- API keys and secrets are never exposed to your browser.
- We don't log the content of your chats in our error-tracking tools.
8. Age requirement
This app is for users 18 and older. We ask you to confirm your age at sign-up. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your data in a meaningful way, we'll update this page and change the "last updated" date above. We won't quietly change the rules on data you've already given us.
